I installed RJV tonesetter from smartphone-freeware.com and it works as advertised for setting mp3's as ringtones...however the ring only comes out of the earpiece like a normal phone call does, meaning you can barely hear it unless you put your ear up to the phone (then it's perfectly clear and loud). Anyone have any ideas as to why the ringtone comes form there and not in a speaker form like a ringtone should? Anyone else give this prog a try or have any other progs to suggest?

I used Audacity which is an opensource audio editing app for musicians to edit down a song (TOOL AENIMA) to a ringtone. I then stuck it in the Sound folder under windows?? I can't remember I'll look it up later. MP3's work fine for me as a ringtone without any extra apps

I have a good program for chopping mp3s up I'll upload a review and sample ring tones sooner than later.
